Attorney MacKenzie Bishop-Buchanan is a principal at Mahony Law. Attorney Bishop-Buchanan focuses her practice on defending the rights of the injured. She specializes in complex matters ranging from motor vehicle accidents and medical malpractice cases, to matters involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death.
MacKenzie has over a decade of experience advocating for the rights of her clients in court and at trial. Her legal career began in private practice in the areas of civil, traffic, criminal, and family law. After leaving private practice, MacKenzie worked for a non-profit center, which focused on representing victims of sexual and domestic abuse.
MacKenzie has also gained invaluable experience working as an Assistant District Attorney at the Racine County District Attorney’s office. As an ADA, MacKenzie’s tried dozens of cases to verdict on behalf of her clients.
MacKenzie earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School where she worked with a federal magistrate judge and county district attorney offices. She also participated in volunteer activities and served as President of the Latino Law Student Association.
The legal community has also recognized MacKenzie’s accomplishments. MacKenzie was named by the Wisconsin Law Journal as one of their “Power 30 Personal Injury Attorneys” in 2023. The award is bestowed upon the top 30 personal injury attorneys in Wisconsin, for their outstanding achievements on behalf of clients, their contributions to the legal profession, and their commitment to their community.
